The widespread use of TNFα inhibitors in the treatment of different inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, psoriasiform arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and inflammatory bowel disease has led to an increasing number of cases describing paradoxical effects.1 A paradoxical effect is defined as the onset or worsening of a condition that normally can be treated by anti-TNF.2.
