Interpretación y correlación de registros paleoclimáticos cuaternarios
2017
The multidisciplinary analysis of natural climate change archives (ice cores, lacustrine and
marine sediments, speleothems, etc.) have allowed to reconstruct the main variations
in temperature and hydrological conditions recorded during the Quaternary period (last
2.58 million years). Many of these reconstructions are available online in databases of
government agencies and scientific organizations and constitute an exceptional didactic
resource for Earth Sciences students in order to understand the extent of current Global
Change in the context of natural climate variability and its spatial-temporal variations.
This activity aims to interpret and compare several series of real paleoclimatic data based
on different proxies and recovered at different latitudes, using simple plots graphic
representations and a test
