Multicolor Labeling in Developmental Gene Regulatory Network Analysis

The sea urchinembryo is an important model system for developmental gene regulatory network(GRN) analysis. This chapter describes the use of multicolor fluorescentin situ hybridization(FISH) as well as a combination of FISH and immunohistochemistryin sea urchinembryonic GRN studies. The methods presented here can be applied to a variety of experimental settings where accurate spatial resolution of multiple gene productsis required for constructing a developmental GRN.
