Visualizing brightness temperature data of king crater area with CELMS

2016
King crater is a prominent crater of Copernican era on the Moon, the study on whose microwave brightness temperature (TB) will be of great significance to explore the internal structures of the lunar surface. Chang'E-2 microwave sounder (CELMS) is a main pay load of Chang'E-2 (CE-2) lunar probe, it is a four-frequency microwave radiometer and mainly used to obtain the TB data of the lunar surface. In order to achieve the visualizing TB data of King crater, this study presents the many-knot spline function method. The many-knot spline function method is an expansion of the B-spline method. The experimental results show that good quality of the visualizing TB data of King crater can be obtained, and the visualizing TB data also good indicate topographical features of King crater.
