Laparoscopic posterior pelvic viscerectomy for a patient with anal squamous cell carcinoma and anol vaginal fistula‐ video vignette

2020
: We present a case of a 46-year -old female with a month's history of faecal vaginal discharge. Colonoscopy showed a mass at the anal orifice which communicated with the vagina. Digital rectal examination showed that the mass was hard and smooth but the anol vaginal fistula could not be identified. An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and a CT (computed tomography) of the abdomen showed a mass at the anus with unclear margins. It enhanced after injection with contrast. The pathological examination showed that it was a squamous cell carcinoma.
