A different viewpoint on the Hadronic light-by-light tensor short-distance constraints.
2020
We discuss short-distance constraints for the hadronic light-by-light tensor via introducing a different viewpoint that gravitates around the anomaly constraints and emphasizes the transverse contributions to the aforementioned tensor so far ignored. While we do not propose a full solution to the problem, our standpoint shall be of general interest. As a particular realization of our viewpoint, our scheme splits the axial-vector meson exchanges into a model-independent pole-part and a contact contribution (a subtraction in the dispersive language), that is linked to fulfilling the anomaly (for which transverse degrees of freedom are needed) and might require a model estimate.
