On-farm soy processing – toasting soy for pig fattening (OK-Net EcoFeed video)

The Hockner family runs a pig breeding and fattening operation near Linz, Austria. Some years ago, the Hockners bought a soya toasting system. In this video they recount their experiences with toasting soya beans and feeding the soya press cake to their pigs. They farmers report an excellent pork meat quality from feeding on-farm freshly roasted soya beans. This video is aimed at all farmers interested in toasting soya on-farm and is not specific to organic production.
