A telerobotic workstationfor microsurgeryhas been developed that enablesscaling down motions and filtering tremor in a surgeon's hand. The system is compact and light-weight and has the potential for improving the performance of all surgeons and enablingthe development of new surgical procedures currently limitedby the dexterity of even the most skilful surgeons.
