The electrochromic behaviour of zirconium diphthalocyanine and molybdenum phthalocyanine oxide
1989
Abstract The electrochromic behaviour of sublimed, thin films of zirconium and molybdenum phthalocyanines is presented. The electrochromic properties of these M IV phthalocyanines are compared to those of the lanthanide diphthalocyanines. An explanation of the observed electrochromic phenomena in which the reduction and oxidation take place on the phthalocyanine ring rather than on the metals is presented.
