Atualmente, a Saude Mental tem vindo a deter maior atencao dado o seu impacto no bem-estar desde idades precoces, e pelo facto de cada vez ser mais evidente o aumento da incidencia de problemas de saude mental nas criancas e adolescentes. O PROMEHS e um Projeto Erasmus + Acao-Chave 3, cofinanciado pela Comissao Europeia (2019 – 2022), que pretende desenvolver, implementar e avaliar um curriculo para a promocao da saude mental nas escolas, fazendo a ponte entre programas escolares baseados em evidencias e instituicoes de educacao, promovendo politicas inovadoras ao encorajar a cooperacao entre entidades publicas nacionais e internacionais e instituicoes em toda a Europa. Este projeto e o primeiro curriculo de saude mental a ser desenvolvido em colaboracao com investigadores, decisores politicos e instituicoes cientificas de 20 Instituicoes de sete paises Europeus, nomeadamente, Italia, Croacia, Grecia, Letonia, Malta, Portugal e Romenia. Este estudo ira ser desenvolvido com alunos do ensino pre-escolar, basico e secundario, respetivos pais e professores. A concecao do projeto inclui condicoes de pre e pos-teste, delimitadas por um periodo de cinco meses de implementacao do curriculo, com grupos experimental e em espera. As conclusoes e os resultados obtidos irao servir de base para as politicas educacionais nacionais dos Estados Membros sobre a promocao da saude mental na escola. Nowadays, Mental Health has been detaining more attention regarding its impact on wellbeing since premature ages, and for the fact that now it is more evident the increase of mental health problems in children and adolescents. PROMEHS is an Erasmus + Project, Key-Action 3, cofounded by the European Commission (2019-2022), with the purpose to develop, implement and evaluate a curriculum for the promotion of mental health at schools, linking school-based programs and education institutions, promoting innovative politics, by encouraging a cooperation between national and international public entities and institutions from all Europe. This project is the first mental health curriculum to be developed in collaboration with investigators, stakeholders and scientific institutions from 20 Institutions from seven European Countries (Italy, Croatia, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Portugal and Romania).This study will be developed with students from kindergarten to high-school and respective parents and teachers. The conception of the project includes a pre and post-test spaced out by a period and five months of the implementation of the curriculum, with experimental and control groups. The results and conclusions will serve as a base for the educational politics of the Members States about the promotion of mental health at school.
