GOVERNANCE OF LEGAL POLICY ON WOMENEMPOWERMENT: A SOCIO-LEGAL STUDY IN INDIA

2020
For centuries, empowerment of women has been the subject most argued about in the socio-economic and political setting. Numerically, females are nearly equivalent, but they are still a minority group in aspects of authority, place and impact. If half of the population remains backwards socially, economically and politically, we cannot advance. The objective and intent of this research are to investigate current constitutional clauses and numerous women-specific and women-related laws, their execution status, and their effect on empowerment of gender. The decision issued by the higher judiciary in multiple women's requests and PILs has also been evaluated to assess the judiciary's strategy and behaviour towards children. In a nutshell, the research tries to explore the legislation and the decisions issued by different judges to protect and empower females; to suggest sensible steps to enhance the women's empowerment system
