Feasibility study of a Compton Camera for nuclear contamination scenarios with varying thicknesses of concrete material
2019
A portable Compton Camera gamma imaging system has been tested to assess its sensitivity to a radioactive source through varying thicknesses of concrete material. Using imageable data from a 137Cs source, a linear relationship between the natural log of the peak-to-total ratio and the thickness of scattering material was produced. This work could provide the basis for depth-profiling and quantification from gamma images produced during in-situ measurements.
