This invention relates to a frame for the transport and storage of pipes consisting of profile frame parts, of which the upper and lower profile frame parts are connectable with one another by boltingrod means. Recesses are provided on both ends of the profile frame parts for receiving the boltingrod means. The boltingrod is rotatably arranged with an end having a transversecrosspiece that is detachably positioned into lateral transversebores of the lower profile frame part. The crosspiece has at least one bevelend for facilitating insertion of the crosspiece into the transversebores of the lower profile frame parts.
