Development and prospect of sweetpotato industry and its technologies in China

According to the investigation data from Food and Agricultural Organization(FAO) and China Agriculture Research System of Sweetpotato(CARS-SP),the developmental course and challenges of sweetpotato industry in China were reviewed,and the developing trends and prospect were presented.The research and developmental status of sweetpotato industry was expounded based on domestic research progress in recent years.Based on the experiences and theories sumarrized from the research and development of sweetpotato,some priority areas of the development of sweetpotato industrial technologies were proposed.
