PRODUCTION OF NEUTRON-RICH NUCLIDES AT HRIBF

Development of neutron-rich radioactive beams at the Holifield Radioactive Ion Beam Facility offers the possibility of decay-spectroscopy measurements. In order to propose and plan such experiments, an approximate knowledge of the production rates is necessary. A simple production modelhas been developed to predict the rates. A series of measurements on the elements Zn through Kr has been performed to determine the applicability of the model.
