Lipid and Metabolite Deregulation in the Breast Tissue of Women Carrying BRCA1 and BRCA2 Genetic Mutations

Despite no evidence of any changes to breast tissue from current imaging modalities, in vivo two-dimensional localized correlated MR spectroscopy can be used to identify biochemical abnormalities that may represent preinvasive changes in the breast tissue of women carrying BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutations.
