Optoelectronic waveforms generation: PCSS characterization and genetic algorithm

This paper proposes a contribution to
optoelectronic
ultra-widebandtransient waveforms generation. It describes a genetic algorithm (GA) development, a Photoconductive Semiconductor Switch (PCSS) characterization and
optimization modeling. The genetic algorithm enables generation of arbitrary transient waveforms from specific spectral conditions. Experimental measurements have been carried out with an
optoelectronicbench which generates high-voltage pulses (few kV peak). Measurements lead to an Agilent Advance Design System (ADS) modeling predicting PCSS response to an optical impulsion at 1064nm.
