A system (100) for controlling vehicles (10) in a restricted area is disclosed, wherein the vehicle (10) comprises a sensor unit (12) which is designed to detect objects in a surrounding area of ​​the utility vehicle (10). The system (100) comprises a data acquisition module (110), a detection module (120), an identification module (130) and a moving module (140). The information acquisition module (110) is configured to obtain information from a database over the restricted area, wherein the obtained information comprises cartographic data of objects in the restricted area. The detection module (120) is configured to detect at least one object in the surroundings of the vehicle (10) using the sensor unit (12) of the utility vehicle. The identification module (130) is configured to identify at least one detected object in the cartographic data. The motion module (140) is configured to allow an autonomous movement of the utility vehicle (10) in the restricted area based on the identified objects.
