Development of a silicon strip detector with high rate capability for pulsed beams.

A silicon strip detector for high rate of positrons/electrons is developed to be used at experiments with a high-intensity pulsed muon beam, which is available at the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex ( J-PARC). The detector consists of a silicon strip sensor with a 190 $\mu$m pitch and a 5 ns sampling readout system. Four detector modules were fabricated and their performance was evaluated using the positronbeam at Tohoku University.
