Young Earth System Scientists Community: Engagement for a Better Future

The Young Earth System Scientists (YESS) community is a unified international and interdisciplinary network, which provides a voice and leverage for a better future to serve society. YESS is organized from the bottom-up, run by and for early career researchers (ECR) from multiple disciplines related to Earth system science and using a communication platform to coordinate internationally and locally. YESS aims to unify early career professionals in an influential network to enhance collaborations and promote both local and global exchange across multiple disciplines related to Earth system sciences by giving young scientists a collective voice and leverage, while supporting career development. As a new generation of interdisciplinarily-educated Earth system scientists, YESS believes that ECRs have a critical role in shaping the future of Earth system science and work towards a seamless understanding and prediction of the Earth system and its impacts on society.
