Assessment of Uncertainties in the Collection-6 and 6.1 Modis Standard Cryosphere Products

The MODerate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS) Collection-6 (C6) and Collection-6.1 (C6.1) standard cryospheredata products are currently in use by researchers worldwide. Here we discuss issues that affect the uncertainties in the snow-cover extent, daily snow albedoand ice-surface temperature (IST) products in the cryosphereproduct suite.
