The authors report a new biomimeticnanodelivery platform in which polymeric nanoparticles enclosed in the plasma membrane of human platelets are used for disease-relevant targeting, and the therapeutic potential of the concept is demonstrated in animal modelsof coronary restenosisand systemic bacterial infection.
