Letter to the Editor: Fresh frozen plasma transfusion affects outcomes in acute variceal bleeding: Right conclusion?

The study by Mohanty et al showed poor outcomes of fresh frozen plasma (FFP) transfusion in patients with acute variceal bleeding (AVB)1 . While the outcome is reassuring and highlights the importance of restricting the blood products transfusion in patients with AVB, some aspects pertaining to the results and the design of this study merits further discussion.
