How to diagnose bullous pemphigoid and its variants: the question is still open.
2021
Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is the most frequent autoimmune sub-epidermal blistering dermatosis.[1,2] This disease should be considered in elderly patients with a pruritic blistering eruption associated with urticarial and eczematous lesions. However, multiple BP variants have been described and in up to 20% of the cases, there is no obvious blistering and histopathological findings are non-specific.[1-3].
