31. Immunohistochemical and molecular study of placental bed in preeclampsia and IUGR
2018
Objectives To study
placentalbed (PB) and microRNA expression in women with PE and PE, complicated by IUGR. Methods 200 women 18–43 yrs old were divided into 3 groups: I–50 with early onset PE: Ia with IUGR (34), IIb without IUGR (16); II–50 with late PE: IIa with IUGR (11); IIb without IUGR (39) and 100 – as control. Samples of PB were obtained during CS after prior patient’s informed consent. Results 44% primigravida in group_Ia and 18,1% in group_IIa conceived within 6 months after marriage. BMI was higher and cardiovascular disorders occurred more often in group_IIa than in group_Ia (p Conclusion A key role of
placentalsite and mechanisms of
placentationin early onset PE especially in combination with IUGR was suggested. Further research will help to create a basis for prediction, early diagnosis, and adequate management of those great obstetrical syndromes.
