Local diversity and recruitment on artificial substrates: Mytilus galloprovincialis (Lamarck, 1819) vs Sabella spallanzanii (Gmelin, 1791) (Mediterranean Sea)

2021
In this study a comparison of the initial phases of macrofouling succession occurring in two Mediterranean mariculture facilities located in the Mar Grande of Taranto and in the Gulf of Gaeta is reported together with the following investigations carried out in Taranto in order to understand the interactions between Mytilus galloprovincialis (Lamarck, 1819) and Sabella spallanzanii (Gmelin, 1791) leading to substrate partitioning.
