DETERMINANTS OF PROCESS IMPROVEMENT BY SUPPLIERS

The aim of this article is to present the requirements for suppliers related to the implementation of process improvement tools. The aim of the survey was to identify the main decisive factors for the implementation of organizational improvement tools in production companies. The results of the empirical study indicate that companies which are suppliers operating in Poland implement a range of organizational improvement tools. The main reason for the transfer of these tools is the requirements of multinational concerns from their suppliers which focus on ensuring technical quality, improvement of environmental performance, reducing costs (through an increase in the efficiency of processes) and shortening operational process cycles. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of these tools also helps suppliers to improve internal communication and increase employee involvement in problem solving.
