Background Allogeneic human
islettransplantation is an effective therapy for the treatment of patients with
Type 1 Diabetes(T1D). The low number of
islettransplants performed worldwide and the different transplantation protocols used limit the identification of the most effective therapeutic options to improve the efficacy of this approach.
