Massive hemorrhage due to external iliac artery laceration in kidney transplantation: A case report of an uncommon complication after CT guided drainage

2016
Abstract We report a case of a 56-year-old male with a kidney transplantation and a symptomatic peritransplant deep fluid collection who underwent a computed tomography (CT) guided drainage. Nine days after the procedure the patient had to be submitted to the surgical removal of the renal graft due to a massive bleeding caused by the position of the pigtail catheter lying on the wall of the external iliac artery.
