Fungal colonization of green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) nests is unlikely to affect hatchling condition

To determine the possible effect of fungal invasion on Green Sea Turtle(Chelonia mydas) embryo development and subsequent hatchlingcondition, we compared hatchlingscalation patterns, straight carapacelength, and weight among nests with varying proportions of fungal colonization. Analyses suggested that the condition of hatchlingsemerging from nests that have a high percentage of eggs colonized by funguswas similar to those from nests without fungus.
