Background Bleeding severity, anatomic location, tissue characteristics, and visibility are common challenges encountered while managing intraoperative bleeding, and conventional hemostaticmeasures (suture, ligature, and cautery) may sometimes be ineffective or impractical. While topical absorbable hemostats(TAH) are useful hemostaticadjuvants, each TAH has associated disadvantages.
