T cells that are activated by self-antigens in the periphery can migrate into the brain causing neuroinflammatory disease. Here the authors show that TBK1 is necessary for activated T-cell egress from the lymph node, and blocking TBK1 ameliorates autoimmunity in a mouse model of
multiple sclerosis.
