Clinical application of modified method of indwelling the ureteral stent under retroperitoneal laparoscope

Objective To investigate the feasibility of the new ureteral stent placement method by veress needle-guided percutaneous puncture during laparoscopic operations.Methods The clinical data of 36 patients underwent indwelling the ureteral stent by veress needle-guided and adjust ureteral stent position with tail wire were analyzed.Results Thirty-six cases all had successful operation primarily,no postoperative complication such as urine leakage,ureterostenosis.The mean time of indwelling the double J stent was 7 minutes (ranged at 4-15 minutes).Conclusions The ureteral stent placement method by veress needle-guided is manageable,easy to fetch materials,and can save time and effort.It is worthy to be applicated and popularized.
