Automated and contactless approaches for pavement surface texture measurement and analysis – A review

Abstract Pavement surface characterisation usually consists of surface texture measurement and its consequent data analysis. Recently there has been significant development in automated and contactless surface characterisation techniques. This paper reviews some of these developments in connection with pavement surface characterisation.
