An Analysis of Air-Hole Type Photonic Crystal Waveguide Gratings Using Coupled-Mode Theory and Finite-Element Method

Air-hole type photonic crystal waveguide gratings are analyzed by using a simple coupled-mode theorycombined with a finite-element method, and their coupling coefficients and transmission characteristics are effectively evaluated.
