RISK FACTORS OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES AND COMORBID PATHOLOGY AS CAUSES OF MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION IN A YOUNG PATIENT

2015
This paper deals with the problem of high prevalence of coronary heart disease and potential mortality of young patients with this pathology with reference to the role of metabolic, physiological, cultural, and behavioral factors and their combination influencing the risk of myocardial infarction in young patients. A 37 year-old patient is reported in whom a combination of multiple "traditional" risk factors of cardiovascular pathology and social factors resulted in extensive transmural myocardial infarction and death.
