Progresses and prospects of brain electromagnetic imaging

2020
Non-invasive electroencephalogram (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) imaging technologies have high temporal resolution, and the potential to enhance its spatial resolution by electric source imaging (ESI), thus they play an indispensable role in promoting the researches of cognition principles and mechanisms of brain diseases. In this paper, a comprehensive review is presented to the main progresses in such as EEG/MEG signal processing, EEG/MEG inverse problem, EEG/MEG equipment development and EEG/MEG applications, etc. Additionally, some frontier topics and potentially valuable directions are specially explored.
