Skyrmion Lattices Far from Equilibrium

Magnetic skyrmionsare spin whirls with non- trivial topologythat are remarkably robust. We review current research on skyrmionlattices far from equilibrium in cubic chiral magnets obtained under field cooling, providing access to generic propertiesof skyrmionsin the non-thermal limit as well as concepts of spintronicsapplications.
