Abstract Identifying the origin of rabies virus (RABV) infection can have major implications for control measures. Here, we identified the origin of RABV infection of two Nepalese migrants in Qatar by comparing these RABV genomes with RABV genomes isolated from brains of a RABV infected camel and fox from Qatar.
