Construction of iridium(III)-complex-loaded MOF nanoplatform mediated with a dual-responsive polycationic polymer for photodynamic therapy and cell imaging
2019
A multifunctional photodynamic therapy (PDT) nanoplatform, characterized by red-shifted absorption and emission, was fabricated using UiO-66-based metal-organic framework (MOF), biscyclometalated iridium(III) complex, and a pH/ROS-responsive polycationic polymer. Noticeably, this promising nanoplatform exhibited good biocompatibility in dark and produced abundant ROS upon light irradiation, which could achieve apparent endo/lysosomes escape and kill the cancer cells effectively.
