Two-photon imaging of pancreatic beta cells in real time in vivo

Here we present the first generation of two-photon beta cellspecific in vivoimaging probes based on GLP1R targeting peptides. Among the three compounds of potential interest, we found quite unexpectedly that a squarine- rotaxaneconjugate (2PEx-647) had near ideal in vivoimaging characteristics.
