First record of Phlegmariurus pruinosus (Herter) B. Øllg. (Lycopodiaceae) for Ecuador from the Cordillera del Cóndor range

During a recent botanical exploration in El Quimi Biological Reserve, Morona-Santiago province, Phlegmariurus pruinosus (Herter) B. Ollg. was recorded for the first time in Ecuador from the Cordillera del Condor. We present a morphological description, photographs and an actualized distribution map. Additionally, relationships with other morphologically similar species are discussed. A total of 67 species of Phlegmariurus are recorded for Ecuador.
