Fault location of small current grounding system based on transient recorded wave data

The steady-state characteristics of the small current grounding system are not obvious, which leads to the low accuracy of the fault location results. Simplify the small current grounding system, analyze the transient recording data, and study the transient distribution characteristics of each component in case of fault. After fault line selection by wavelet analysis, fault location is realized by genetic algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed location method has high reliability, and the average location accuracy of the proposed method in branch line is nearly 10 times higher than that of other methods.
