The interacting binary V367 Cygni : I. Photometric solution including the influence of an accretion disk

Light curve synthesis including the influence of an optically thick disk surrounding the mass-accreting component of the Serpentid binary V367 Cyg gives new insights into the radiative and geometric properties of the system's components. Previous controversies on the fundamental parameters are removed with the present proper description of the physical situation and processes involved. The new photometric solution produced a very consistent picture for V367 Cyg, which now fits Plavec's model proposed for Serpentid binaries in general
