Koi fish is one type of freshwater ornamental fish that is classified as a carp fish (Cyprinus carpio) which has a high economic value, this fish is popular because of its beautiful shape and color composition, koi fish are not only kept in ponds but can also be included in contests koi fish so that it can increase the prestige of the owner and the economic value of the fish. Because of this many farmers try to increase koi fish production. The main factor in increasing production activities is needed superior seeds that are already mature gonads so as to produce good quality seeds. To produce a superior parent requires a lot of time and cost. The solution to solve this problem is by storing sperm, so that when sperm cells are needed it can be used immediately without having to wait or bring in a mature male gonad. During the storage period, spermatozoa need energy that can support their life force so that after the energy in their body is depleted, spermatozoa require nutritional intake from outside as energy. Nutrients with high levels of glucose and fructose are needed as energy reserves for sperm. Honey is a food that has simple sugars such as fructose and glucose. The content of longan honey is 28.09% while the fructose content is 40.03%. This research is using experimental method. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD). In the treatment, a diluent solution is prepared using honey dissolved in physiological NaCl (hereinafter referred to as a diluent solution). The variation in the percentage of honey in the diluent solution used is 0%; 0.2%; 0.4%; 0.6%; 0.8% and 1%. The concentration of diluent solution in units of % is equivalent to ml / 100ml. The use of diluent solution made from a mixture of longan flower honey with different concentrations and 0.9% physiological NaCl in the storage of koi sperm (Cyprinus carpio) significantly influences the movement (motility) of fish spermatozoa. In the study there was an interaction between administration of diluent solution and storage time which gave the results of the percentage of motility from each treatment. The best percentage of motility and still suitable for artificial insemination was in P1 of 50.6%.
