Cavity-Backed Substrate Integrated Waveguide Antenna With Dual L-Shaped Slot for Dual Frequency Operation

In the proposed paper, dual band cavity backed substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) antenna is designed and analyzed. The dual frequency operation is achieved using L-shaped slots. The designed antenna resonates at satellite communication frequency band of 8.9 GHz and 11.1 GHz with gain of 7.1 dBi and 2.2 dBi at resonance respectively.
