CP violation in rare B decays

Abstract The role of penguin amplitudes in B decay CP asymmetriesis surveyed. We describe a calculation of the asymmetryin inclusive charmless B ± decays, which is free of uncertainties due to hadronic final state interactions. We discuss briefly asymmetriesin exclusive charged B decay modes and summarize penguin effects in neutral B decays to CP eigenstates.
