The measurement of D s + and D + meson decays into K* + K * 0

Using the ARGUS detector at the e + e - storage ring DORISII at DESY, we have observed the decays D + → K - K 0 π + π + and D s + → K - K 0 π + π + . The branching ratios were determined to be BR(D + → K - K 0 π + π + )= (1.0±0.5±0.3)% and BR(D s + → K - K 0 π + π + )/BR(D s + →o π + )= 1.2±0.2±0.2. These decays are found to proceed mostly via the K * 0 K* 0 decay channel, with BR(D + K * 0 K* 0 )=2.6±0.8±0.7)% and BR(D s + K * 0 K* 0 )/BR(D s + →o π + ) = 1.6±0.4±0/4.
