MRI accurately detects chronic exertional compartment syndrome: a validation study

Objective To validate the diagnostic performance of an in-scanner exercise-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination used to screen for chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS). Final clinical impression and intracompartmental needle manometry (INM) served as the reference standards.
