A Fingerprint Recognition System Using Raspberry Pi

Fingerprint matching is a way to identify an individual’s identity or can be used as verification depending on the requirements. There are many techniques involved in fingerprint matching. We know that a fingerprint consists of lots of unique points which differentiate one fingerprint from another they are called minutiae. In this paper, we will define various techniques that are used for Minutiae extraction and matching like crossing number, minutiae position, minutiae orientation and how we have implemented fingerprint recognition with Raspberry Pi. It is a small size computer which is based on Debian Linux.
